i now live in los angeles. Home of stars and porn. i came here to etch out my little nook in the big bad world of lowbrow art. i came to be inspired and to suffer a little more before i break out. God help me. this place is rough. not like the real rough and tumble of new york's upper west side, nor the nose to grindstone of chicago. this is rough in the everything is so bright and plastic that its some kind of sterile nightmare. there is so much opportunity here but only if you can figure out a way to pay rent and buy food. i keep telling myself, this is what i want.
